OFF ROAD PARKING FACILITIES - KIRKHEATON CRICKET FIELD

Much needed off road parking space is to be provided at Kirkheaton Cricket and Bowling Club at Bankfield. The works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday of this week and will extend and improve off road car parking facilities.
The Cricket Club is used by a wide range of the local community and at present there is inadequate off road parking provision.
The cost of the works is estimated at £2,800 and funding has been provided by the Huddersfield South Area Committee. In response to local residents, Lib Dem Councillor, Rochelle Parchment has worked with Kirklees Highways to look at extending and improving off road car parking.
The Dalton Ward Councillor said : "There have been major problems with cars parking on Bankfield Road itself and the improved facilities inter alia will ensure that at least emergency vehicles are able to get through on days when there is a match at the Club".
